Updated: Dec 20, 2020

The wonderful gentleman in the photo is Graeme Atkins.

Graeme was diagnosed with young onset dementia in 2009.

He uses his musical talent to help tell the story the dementia journey that he and his partner Susan are on. His songs are both poignant and funny. If you are living with dementia, you will see yourself in his lyrics.

Graeme is the 2020 winner of the coveted Richard Taylor Advocates Award given by the Dementia Alliance International (DAI). Here are a couple of his songs. The first is Al Ziemer's Song, A clever and funny look at the trials and tribulations of living with dementia.

The second song is Song for DIA the anthem he wrote for the Dementia International Alliance
