Last week, Pam and I had a busy day in Birmingham. In the morning we visited the Alzheimer's Society offices in Tricorn House where many of the team from Dementia Connect do their fantastic work.In the afternoon we attended the first "Inspire" event and I spoke to a group of wonderful, dedicated fundraisers. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to let them know how much their hard work is appreciated by people like us. Pam and I were totally inspired ourselves by the energy of the people who attended. What a day!And the icing on the cake was the wonderful cards that the postie delivered this morning. They will be treasured and will ensure that the memories of the day will stay with us. Thank you to everyone who looked after us and made us so welcome xxx
I just found out that my appeal against the rejection of my application for a Blue Badge has bees accepted!Great news. It'll allow me the freedom to visit places I couldn't access on my own because of severe anxiety.
Well, I just posted my first blog article for over a month! The pain from my shoulder injury has prevented me from blogging for longer than I thought. I am still in considerable pain, but the medication and exercises I am engaged in are helping the healing process. Please bear with me. I'll be back in the saddle again very soon.
Off to Soho on Wednesday for a preview of a new Chanel 4 documentary on dementia. Posh or what!
